January 2011: Conversation with Kati Blom on the appropriation of space, from the International Society for the Philosophy of Architecture.

September 2010: Study on Verticality presented at the European Conference on Complex Systems (Lisbon, Portugal).

September 2010: Two videos made to illustrate the Study on Verticality were screened each one day on the subway station screens of Toronto, as part of the Toronto Urban Film Festival (reach 1.3 million daily commuters, Toronto, Canada). The ‘Concentration’ video was part of ‘The medium is the Message’ selection, and the ‘Elevation’ video was presented in the ‘Urban Ideas and Politics’ section.

July 2010: Letter on the philosophical concept of mobile capital published in the issue 232 of the “Design, Architecture, Ideas” Ottagono magazine (Italy).

July 2010: Screening of the Study on Verticality videos followed by a talk at the TAP, curated by Michaela Freeman (Southend on Sea, UK).

March 2010: Welcome to Finsbury Park screening and workshop at the Green Lens Studio (London, UK).

The slides of the lecture I gave few weeks ago can now be consulted here. I used the example of Walt Disney World to illustrate the concepts of Utopia, Heterotopia, Postmodernisn and Consumerism. It would have taken me two hours to explain all the relations between them and the theme park. My presentation was limited to half of that time and only a subset of the slides were used for the Philosophy for All lecture. Don’t hesitate to leave your feedback. I hope that the slides are still understandable even without any comments.
